Timothy Weber

Tim Weber grew up in Holland, Michigan. After graduating from Notre Dame with a business degree, he served in the Navy for 33 years specializing in healthcare administration with duty stations located in Washington D.C., North Carolina, California, and Japan, where he served in positions that included legislative affairs, health plan policy and management for the Department of Defense, and commanded U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa, Japan. He deployed to Afghanistan as the senior advisor to the Afghan National Police healthcare system and its Surgeon General. Prior to his military retirement in 2022, he commanded Naval Medical Forces Pacific. In this role, he had direct oversight of Naval hospitals and medical research and development laboratories located in 12 countries that focused on health care delivery and Navy Medicine’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic across the Pacific Rim. Following ILI, Tim joined Notre Dame’s Eck Institute for Global Health as the Associate Director. He earned his Master of Science degree from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA.
