Rev. Paul Novak, OSM

Rev. Paul Novak, OSM, recently completed his 14th year as the President of De La Salle Institute, a Catholic and Lasallian co-educational secondary school in the city of Chicago. All together, Fr. Paul has served Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Chicago at De La Salle Institute for 23 years. Since 1999, Fr. Novak has been a weekend minister at Old St. Patrick's Church in Chicago performing countless liturgical celebrations and numerous weddings. He has served on the boards of Lewis University, Mercy Foundation, Old St. Mary's School, Near South Planning Board. As a Friar, Servant of Mary (Servite), he served as Parochial Vicar, the Director of Vocation Ministry, and the Vicar Provincial for the parish of St. Domitilla in Hillside, IL.

He has traveled extensively to Israel, England, Italy, Ireland, Slovenia, France, Mexico, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa. Fr. Novak graduated from Saint Louis University with a B.A. in Communication and Advertising. He received his M. Div. from Catholic Theological Union and has completed coursework for an M.Ed. from Dominican University.

His additional interests include: golf, skiing, biking, walking, reading, music, sports, travel. Fr. Novak is grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Inspired Leadership Initiative and to be joining the Notre Dame community. As a kid from the steel mills of Chicago's south side, this is a dream come true.
