John Schmidt

John Schmidt began his career in governement, working for Congresswoman Millicent Fenwick, and then worked for public-private partnerships including serving as president of the NJ Shore Foundation with Governor Kean as honorary chair.
Following some time off to raise his young children, John switched to a career in education, teaching at The Peck School in Morristown, New Jersey, and the Norwood School in Bethesda, Maryland. John’s primary volunteer work has been to serve as board director, president, and chair of the Nominating Committee of Agawam Council for nearly 30 years, which runs Camp Agawam--a boys summer camp in Raymond, Maine.
When he is not visiting his adult children and grandchildren, John can be found at home in Bethesda with his wife, Liz, or on Panther Pond in Raymond.
