Gary Simpson

Gary Simpson is an ordained (1977) Lutheran clergy, who pastored congregations on the West Coast for 14 years, and taught theology, ethics, and leadership at Luther Seminary for 30 years, retiring in 2020. Over the years he has enjoyed playing and following various athletic sports, with a special love for tennis. Over the last decade he has taken up golf, and over the last year he has once again taken up playing cards. Gary is an avid reader, mostly of various kinds of nonfiction, and a lover of music with a fondness for the Great American Songbook and the popular classics of the 1960s. He also continues to write primarily in his professional fields of theology and ethics.

Gary has been married to Sharon Geiger for over 49 years, and they have three adult daughters and identical twin 17 year old granddaughters who are soccer crazies, fine students, and remarkable leaders. Sharon and Gary enjoy living in downtown Minneapolis and the amenities that come with that.
