Debra Blaschko

Debra Skelley Blaschko graduated cum laude from Minnesota State University, Mankato, focusing on mass communications and business. After gaining experience as a news reporter/editor at a county-seat newspaper, she worked as a Customer Service Specialist/Senior Financial Specialist at her alma mater, and as a freelance writer. She is a founding member of the group that established Options for Women/Mankato in 2014, a Pregnancy Medical Clinic-Family Resource Center. Debra volunteers as an advocate for the IMPACT education program, writes the newsletter, co-chairs the annual Gala, and assists with marketing.
Debra was raised on a small farm in Minnesota where she learned stewardship of the land, water, and air. She is married to her sweetheart and counts her years as homemaker, mother, and home educator as precious, delightful, challenging, and educational. It allowed her to mature in her Catholic faith and study current issues while promoting social and environmental reforms in her community.
