Carla Spanier

Carla Spanier has had a winding career path in a variety of service-oriented fields flexing her career choices based on family needs and circumstances. She has been a middle school Language Arts and History teacher, corporate trainer, health coach, stay at home mom, caregiver, and volunteer at her parish and kids' school. She also served as a peer-to-peer volunteer for the American Cancer Society.

Carla grew up in southern Indiana and is a graduate of Indiana University, where she met her husband of 35 years, Mark (ILI Cohort 8). Carla and Mark have two adult sons and a daughter-in-law.

She enjoys reading, cooking, theater, travel, games, spending time with friends, and cheering on her beloved Indiana University Hoosiers. (We love Notre Dame and always cheer for the Irish, unless they are playing the Hoosiers!)
