ILI Alumni Reunion & Exploration Session

Join other Inspired Leadership Initiative Alumni on campus this fall! We invite you and your spouse/partner back to campus Wednesday-Saturday, October 25-28, 2023.
Our time on campus will begin with an in-person ILI Exploration Session, an event for invited prospective ILI candidates to learn more about the ILI program and the campus community at large. As ILI Alumni (and spouses), we invite you to attend and participate in select parts of the ILI Exploration Session indicated in the schedule below.
During that time you will have time to get to know prospective candidates, and share about your experience in ILI with them as they discern this step. Throughout the two-day event, we will have two Inspiring Conversations speaker events, under the theme for this academic year of "Leadership In Public Conversation".
ILI Alumni Reunion programming will begin on Thursday, October 26 and culminate at our annual tailgate before the Irish football team plays Pitt on Saturday, October 28. A schedule is below. Please note: We don't anticipate schedule changes at this time, but additional details may be added as we approach the event.

Inspiring Conversations Session #1 "Reimagining Fulfillment During Midlife And Beyond" This session will be the first of two Inspiring Conversations to take place during the ILI Reunion & Exploration Session event. We will be joined by guest speaker, Bernie Borges, who has made it his mission to help others find fulfillment in what he refers to as various "seasons of midlife." Bernie and ILI have collaborated on an immersive storytelling series on his Midlife Fufilled Podcast featuring alums of the ILI. In this session, we will flip the script on Bernie, who normally serves at interviewer, and we will hear more about his path to creating the Midlife Fulfilled Podcast, how he defines "fulfillment" and what he's learned along the way from talking to over a hundred podcast guests he's interviewed about their journey to finding "fulfillment" at midlife. |

Lunch & Inspiring Conversations Session #2 "Bringing Purpose to Life" During this second Inspiring Conversations session, we will hear from three recent Notre Dame graduates about how they have made the conscious decision to move toward purpose, not just from a place of a career mindset, but in their life overall. What can we learn from people of a different generation about the search and pursuit of bringing purpose to life with intention, despite societal pressures and expectations. |
